Meet the Team
Teacher
Ms. Annie
Ms. Annie brings four years of experience working with young children ages 2 to 5 to her classroom. She began her teaching career in Kentucky before returning home to Frederick, where she served as a Head Start teacher at the YMCA.
She holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree at Walden University in Early Childhood Education, continuing to grow her skills and knowledge in the field.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Annie is the proud mother of three adult children and enjoys spending time with her family, along with her cat and dog. She loves the outdoors — whether she's relaxing at the beach, camping, fishing, or swimming.
As she says herself, she simply "loves working with all children," and that passion shows in everything she does.
Child and Family Coordinator
Ms. Shani
Shani brings nearly 15 years of experience supporting children and families and almost 10 years of hands-on early childhood teaching experience. Her passion is helping young children build the everyday skills that matter most — like managing emotions, solving problems, making friends, and staying focused. She believes that when children develop these skills early, everything else — school, friendships, and life — gets a little easier.
Shani also knows that the real magic happens when families and caregivers are part of the journey. She loves partnering with parents to share simple, practical strategies that can be used at home to support and celebrate the growth their child is already making.
